There are six bells in the tower. There were originally four bells on the oak bell-frame that was installed in Elizabethan times but in 1761 Rudhalls of Gloucester recast the four bells to form the six bells that are in the tower today. They are arranged in an unusual anti-clockwise pattern.
As part of the renovation project the bells were taken out of the tower and sent to Whitechapel Bell Foundry in London to be renovated and retuned andthen returned and fitted on a new steel bell-frame.
